Hawaii Economic Condition Remains Stable In its fourth quarter 2014 statistics and economic report, DBEDT kept Hawaii economic growth unchanged from its previous quarter forecast. DBEDT Announces Details of Bond Issue to Support Green Energy Market Securitization Program State Energy Office -- The Hawaii State Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism Wednesday announced the details of an upcoming offering of approximately $150 million of bonds to support the department's Green Energy Market Securitization program. DBEDT Applauds PUC's Approval of Green Energy Market Securitization Program State Energy Office -- The Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism welcomed the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission's approval of DBEDT's innovative Green Energy Market Securitization (GEMS) program. Hawaii and U.S. Department of Energy Reaffirm Commitment to Clean Energy Initiative State Energy Office -- Gov. Neil Abercrombie and Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz today signed a Memorandum of Understanding, reaffirming their commitment to the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative, a long-term partnership to increase energy efficiencies and maximize the use the use of Hawaii's abundant renewable energy resources.

Business Advocacy Department
Advocates at all levels of government on behalf of our members to advance business legislation and protect employers from increasing business costs, support the progress of new industries and sectors, and create an environment that will attract new business, promote competition and stimulate expansion. Develops events, activities and programs to keep members and the business community abreast of topical issues.

Communications & Marketing Department
Provides members with the opportunity to attend over 30 business events each year, including expos, trainings, luncheons, forums and networking events that support the growth of member companies. Facilitates marketing opportunities for members to reach members and the business community, and promote their businesses on a larger scale.

Military Affairs Department
Serves as the liaison between civilian and military communities in Hawaii, providing vital oversight for Hawaii's growing defense industry and keeping the business community connected to the state's second largest industry.
